The first time I visited CafeHopping In A Box (located at Bukit Timah Plaza) and heard of the wonderful concept behind this new start-up, I thought that this was a great idea indeed!
CafeHopping In A Box is founded by avid cafe hopping enthusiast, Vivian, who believes that cafe hopping can be made convenient to all dessert lovers, by curating signature desserts and pastries from various cafes in Singapore, just so you need not travel all over the island to satisfy your sweet tooth!
To make things a little more exciting, their menu changes every 1-2 weeks where they either introduce items from new cafes or new flavours from their partnering bakeries and cafes. In other words, you are café hopping with them in one location, with convenience!
This is indeed a win-win situations as new cafes and bakeries could also gain more exposure by showcasing their signature creations at CafeHopping In A Box.
The café also take extra care to ensure that the flavours of desserts in their menu complements one another to suit the discerning palate of every customer.
CafeHopping In A Box serves premium teas from Allerines who blends their own tea leaves from Europe and it pairs perfectly well with all their desserts!
Strawberry Watermelon Cake from Cream and Custard | $6.90
We love this refreshing and enticing Strawberry Watermelon Cake with rose whipped cream and juicy watermelon, decorated with fresh strawberries, blueberries, grapes and rose petals on top. This cake will only be available at CafeHopping In A Box every Saturday in limited quantities.
Raspberry Ball from D’Zerts Café | $6
The pretty decoration on top were actually microwaved sponge cake! The raspberry ball is made of raspberry mousse, mint cremaux and almond dacquoise.
Rainbow Cake from The Bakery Chef | $5.80
The beautiful rainbow cake from The Bakery Chef is made of vanilla butter sponge cake and passionfruit juice in the different layers so that the use of colourings can be reduced. It was so soft and moist in every mouth that I craved to have more!
S’mores from Windowsill Pies | $7.60
The S’mores pie is definitely any chocolate lover’s dream comes true as it is filled with sticky dark chocolate fudge and is smooth and chocolatey but it is a tad too rich and sweet for my palate.
Tiramisu from A.R.C Coffee | $6.80
The Tiramisu was robust and strong in flavour as A.R.C Coffee uses their own coffee beans for this decadent dessert.
Lychee Passionfruit Jar Cake from Grin Affair | $6.50
This is Grin Affair’s bestseller. This dessert is made of layers of vanilla soft cake, lychee mousse with lychee bits and topped with crunchy salted pistachio.
This jar cake is sweet, sour and salty with a burst of flavour in every layer. The best part of all was the lychee bits in the jar cake as I sink my spoon into every layer!
While I was there, I saw a few enquiries and orders for whole birthday cakes and I even got to see a beautiful customized Rainbow Cake from The Bakery Chef as the customer has requested for a special rose cream design on the entire cake!
Classic Box of 4 pastries ($25.70) and Classic Box of 6 pastries ($39.80)
CafeHopping In A Box also has the perfect solution for your parties and potluck gatherings as they have curated a Classic box of 4 or 6 finest pastries from top-notch bakeries and cafés that is a good mix of rich and fruity flavours all in one box for your convenience!
As I was writing this post, I am already missing the delicious desserts at CafeHopping In A Box and cannot wait to return soon!
