I have tried and reviewed many facial treatments before but not for medi-facials that could only be done in aesthetics clinics. For this review, I will share more on the benefits of the Eleve Medi-facial which can produce a more lasting result as compared to facial treatments that are done in spas or beauty centres.
The therapist explained that she is able to customise and design each facial treatment according to the needs and skin condition of the customer using one or a mixture of treatments such as chemical peel, masks, serums, microdermabrasion or light treatment.
For example, she could either do a Brightening facial, Stem Cell facial or an Oxygen facial (all at the same price), depending on the skin condition of the customer. Medi-facials use medical grade products and are able to penetrate the deeper skin’s layers to produce a more targeted result.
I did the Brightening facial at Eleve Aesthetic Clinic where the basic steps were the same as in any other facials such as cleansing, exfoliation, simple extraction, trimming of eye brows, applying serum/products on the face and finishing off with a rejuvenating soft mask.
The only difference in Eleve Medi-facial is the serum and unique hand technique used in the facial massage.
Firstly, the brightening serum used is clinical grade which is more concentrated and can only be used in an aesthetics clinic. The serum helped to improve hydration, fine lines and whitening of the face.
The therapist proceeded to switch off the lights to give me an invigorating 10-15 mins facial massage with her special hand technique.
I asked why she switched off the lights and she joked that it was because she could do this with her eyes closed as she had been doing this since she was 18 years old.
I could really feel the difference in her hand technique for the facial massage compared to those that I usually experienced. Her firm palms were entirely on my face in repeated upward strokes to help firm and lift my face as well as increase blood circulation for detoxification.
A good facial massage should be the same as a good body massage, where the strokes are firm but not to the point of being painful and your skin should feel slightly warm due to the increase in blood circulation and lymphatic drainage. My face felt really warm under the skilful hand technique of my therapist and I did have a restful good sleep that night!
The facial massage was the highlight of the facial treatment for me as I always enjoyed a firm massage to relieve all my stresses. The therapist ended the facial with a cooling soft mask to brighten and soften the face.
One week later, I attended a media event and a fellow blogger whom I had not met for a very long time commented that I look different and more radiant.
I guess the Eleve Skin Booster and Eleve Medi-facial that I recently did had done wonders for my skin to improve its hydration and natural glow.
The Medi-facial treatment at Eleve Aesthetic Clinic cost $50.
