I love my Bak Kwa to be not too sweet, with just the right amount of smokiness and a little charred on the exterior. Fragrance Bak Kwa is also chewy, tender and without too much fat.
This is the perfect gift for family and overseas friends this Chinese New Year as the freshness can be maintained for up to 30 days in its vacuum packaging when kept refrigerated. The Bak Kwa can be consumed as-is or steam for 5-10 minutes as preferred and are best consumed within 5 days after opening.
Salted Egg Potato Chips, Fish Skin & Pork Floss
Locally produced with 100% real salted egg, Fragrance salted egg potato chips ($8.05), fish skin ($6.80) and crispy pork floss ($17.80) are baked and not fried to create the popular crunchy salted egg snacks loved by both young and old.
Although not the best salted egg fish skin I have tasted, I find the flavour a little subtle but I do like it that the fish skin is not coated in thick layers of salted egg to make it too overwhelming sweet or jelat.
The crispy salted egg pork floss is best paired with porridge, omelettes, sponge cakes, swiss rolls and tofu but also taste good on its own as well as it is so fragrant and appetising!
I paired the salted egg pork floss with the tofu cake as it adds a nice crunch to the otherwise silky soft texture of the tofu.
