Kowayo Aesthetic Review: HiQueen HIFU V Face Lift Treatment

February 12, 2017

All I want this New Year is to have a V shape face and for my double chin to disappear. Recently, I was introduced to the revolutionary HiQueen treatment at Kowayo Aesthetic, which provides a natural V Face lifting effect using the High Intensity Focus Ultrasound (HIFU), without any surgery or injections.

Also read all about the recent Kowayo Dewy Shine Beauty Event I attended where I brought along two of my readers.

This is the latest V Face lift treatment that celebrities love and swear by before stepping onto the red carpet.

HiQueen HIFU KOWAYO Aesthetic reviewThe welcoming interior of Kowayo Aesthetic.

As we age, the supportive fibres under the skin weaken and by targeting the connective tissues in the face, HiQueen is able to treat sagging skin and fine lines by kick-starting your natural collagen regeneration process to contour your face back into shape.

HiQueen HIFU KOWAYO Aesthetic reviewIn comparison, Radiofrequency (RF) treatment like Thermage delivers heat across all layers of the facial structure whereas HiQueen HIFU is more depth-specific, targeting at 3mm and 4.5mm for effective lifting and tightening results.

HiQueen HIFU KOWAYO Aesthetic reviewHiQueen is beneficial for reducing:

  • Crow’s feet
  • Droopy eyelids
  • Saggy cheeks
  • Neck wrinkles
  • Double chin
  • Nasolabial lines

What is HiQueen like?

HiQueen HIFU KOWAYO Aesthetic reviewDr Wong performed the treatment at 4.5mm first. This is where the lifting effect takes place at the Superficial Muscular Aponeurotic System (SMAS) layer. The SMAS layer is where surgeons tighten when performing surgical face lifts.

Therefore, with the stimulation and tightening of the SMAS layer at 4.5mm depth, you’ll be able to see excellent lifting results. Dr Wong then proceeded to administer HiQueen at 3mm where structural collagen is situated to target skin tightening.

HiQueen HIFU KOWAYO Aesthetic reviewBefore my HiQueen treatment, I imagined that I would feel heat on my face like the usual RF treatments I have done previously but to my surprise, I did not experience any heat at all.

Instead, I experienced aching along the bony areas, like the jaw line and my teeth. This is due to the ultrasound energy reflecting off the facial contours.

The neck area is also thinner and more sensitive. I requested that Dr Wong reduce the intensity of the treatment on my neck area because this time, I could feel the heat!

HiQueen HIFU KOWAYO Aesthetic reviewHere is a side by side comparison of my face before the treatment (left) and 2 weeks after the HiQueen treatment (right).

Overall, the treatment was not very painful, it was more of a sore and aching feeling. No redness was observed at all.

HiQueen HIFU KOWAYO Aesthetic reviewThis photo was taken around 3 weeks after my HiQueen treatment at Kowayo Aesthetic.

Dr Wong explained that I might experience aching when applying facial products and makeup after the treatment. The next day, I did experience slight ache on my face and jaw line as what Dr Wong has mentioned.

The HiQueen procedure takes approximately 30 minutes and has minimal downtime.

How long will the effects last?

After the first treatment, results can be observed after 3 weeks and the best thing about HiQueen is that you only need to do it 3 times a year for maintenance.

HiQueen treatment at Kowayo Aesthetic. It’s amazing that I could see visible slimming of my face just after a single session. I am so happy to be able to find a treatment that can finally bid my double chin goodbye! 🙂

This is so cool. I didn’t even know there is such treatment available. Sometime when I read it at their brochures I am quite skeptical if it can really happen. Your photos are proof. I can head to Raffles place now to try it out. I think I really need this now at my age. Thank you for sharing this.
