Located just a stone throw away from The Centrepoint, FaceWork Aesthetic is a one-stop beauty hub that offers professional eye brow embroidery services, facial, slimming, manicure & pedicure and body waxing services.
Before my skin booster treatment, the therapist did a detailed skin analysis for me.
The professional eye brow embroidery services were administered personally by Ms Eileen Seah, Creative Director of FaceWork Aesthetic, who has over 20 years of experience in the beauty industry and was featured in The Business Times, LianHe Zaobao and Nylon Magazine.
The 40-min Minute Skin Booster Therapy is great as a power lunch-time treatment for an instant pick-me-up. The skin booster treatment is derived from Microneedle Therapy System (MTS) to achieve optimal skin hydration. It is administered with a high technology device designed to infuse 100% pure hyaluronic acid into the epidermal tissues, to provide intense hydration to our skin.
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in our body that has the capacity to attract and hold vast amounts of moisture. As we age, collagen production starts to slow down and our cells are also more prone to oxidative damage as the skin starts to lose its suppleness and elasticity. Hyaluronic acid is an antioxidant that help protect the skin from free radical damage and UV rays of the sun.
By delivering hyaluronic acid into the skin where it is most needed, it helps to plump and hydrate the skin which is crucial for having a youthful, healthy looking skin.
My friendly therapist did a skin analysis for me and explained some of the problem areas she noticed on my skin.

Is it painful and is there any downtime for this treatment?
The procedure is tolerable for me and I did not experience any swelling or redness at all and there was no downtime. The therapist did warn me that it would be more ‘bumpy’ on my forehead due to its bony structure.
Based on my tolerance level, the therapist give me a level 4 or 5 intensity for most parts of the face and a level 1 on the forehead as it more ‘bumpy’ and slightly painful there.
My attentive therapist also noticed a few milia seeds (also known as oil seeds) on my face and suggested that I removed them for a small top up. I am so glad that I took her advice to remove the milia seeds (9 in total) in case they got even worse!
She explained to me that people with high cholesterol will have a higher incidence of having milia seeds. I always have high cholesterol and did not know of this problem until she mentioned it. She then advised me to avoid certain foods and watch my diet.
