Sudio Sweden has just released their latest true wireless Bluetooth earphones, the Sudio Nivå. With more smartphones losing the 3.5 mm headphone jack, many people are gearing towards Bluetooth enabled earphones. In terms of aesthetics and design wise, I feel that the Sudio Nivå looks so much better than the Apple AirPods with something sticking out of your ears.
Unboxing of Sudio Nivå & Battery Life
- 3 pairs of silicon sleeves of different sizes
- 1 micro USB charger
- 1-year international warranty certificate
- Simple instruction manual
Both the right and left earphones have a “R” and “L” marking on it so that you would not mix them up.
The plastic charging case is light-weight, minimalist looking and comes with an attached leather strap that gives a nice Scandinavian touch to it. To the uninitiated, it does look a little like a magic cushion or compact powder case. Once, I accidentally dropped the charging case and was so afraid that it would crack but thankfully it was still intact.
This true wireless model features Bluetooth 4.2 technology and 3.5 hours of battery life. Charging the earphones is simple. You only need to place them back into the charging case for an additional 4 charges, bringing the total play time to a whopping 17.5 hours.
Pairing of Sudio Nivå
There is only one button on each ear bud of the Sudio Nivå and you need to press-hold both buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to power up the earphones.
It took quite a while for my iPhone to search for Sudio Nivå the first time I did the pairing; after that I do not have any problem with the pairing. However, on a few occasions, the earphones just lost connection and power off themselves, I had to power them up again, and thankfully this doesn’t happen often.
With the removal of a dangling wire, some functions were also removed, such as adjusting the volume on the earphones itself. You have to adjust the volume on your phone instead.
To power off, simply place the ear buds back into the charging case or press-hold one ear bud manually for 3 seconds.
Sudio Nivå Sound Signature
Nivå is designed to repel external noise, with reasonably good noise isolation, so much so that I couldn’t hear a service staff who was trying to get my attention from behind as she wanted to hand me my receipt.
I find the bass a little weak and lacked depth but the overall sound quality is good enough for me. The volume is a tad low for me even when my phone volume is already adjusted to the maximum. I do not have this issue with Sudio Tre and Sudio Vasa Bla.
With the Sudio Nivå, you need to find the perfect fitting ear tips that fit snugly so that the earphones won’t dropped off your ears when you are running to catch the bus.
The Sudio Nivå is retailing at S$169. Great News! Simply use the promo code VETLEOW2018 to enjoy 15% discount! Sudio Sweden is also giving away a FREE set of 4 coasters with any purchase online. Enjoy free shipping worldwide.
